Ashley joined the Jackson Lab in October of 2022 and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at University of Maryland Global Campus, set to graduate Spring of 2023. Ashley’s project involves researching the SARS-CoV-2 variants and how they interact with cell autophagy pathways with a focus on expression of Papain-like protein-transmembrane domain (PLpro-TM) of SARS-CoV-2 in cellular models. In her free time she enjoys music, museums, learning foreign languages, cooking, films, video games, and traveling.
